Next, immerse yourself in the evocative sounds of Yulanbiirr by Nardi Simpson, the celebrated Yuwaalaraay composer and writer from North West NSW. Experience the brilliance of brass with two works recently premiered by Lyrebird at the Canberra International Music Festival: In the Presence of So much Sky for flugelhorn, horn, and alto trombone by MCM Professor Elliott Gyger, and Emeritus Professor Stuart Greenbaum’s 15 Years On for quintet. Finally, the performance closes with David Sampson's gripping 1986 composition Morning Music.
